Published descriptions |
||
| Described as being "dwarfish, black-purple, very richly coloured". | ||
| This upright flax grows 3-4 feet tall with 1 1/2" wide maroon red foliage that curves gracefully at tips. A beautiful medium sized red flax. Stable. | ||
| Reportedly a P. tenax variety, this selection has dark wine red foliage to 6', upright habit. | ||
| This upright growing selection of New Zealand Flax makes a 4' tall rigid clump of wide, dusty brown foliage... a superb accent plant. Slightly shorter than the species, P. ‘Dusky Chief’ makes a great container specimen where a vertical accent is needed. | ||
| A rather tall selection with deep purple foliage rising to 6' when mature, with an electric coral leaf edge especially apparent in sunlight. Full sun for best effects. | ||
