| "the best real dwarf variety with numerous 2ft arching branches of rich purple red" (C.E. Gibbons and Co. Ltd.) | ||
| Upright 3 feet tall with 1 1/2" wide dark reddish-brown foliage that curves gracefully at tips. A great medium sized red flax. Good for mass plantings. Stable. | ||
| Arching outer leaves, red-bronze in colour. | ||
| Probably the best of the burgundy cultivars. A fast but compact grower to only 3' tall, it still has the broader leaves characteristic of the larger varieties and lacks the grassy look of Jack Spratt. Leaves are medium coppery bronze. | ||
| Purple, narrow leaves. Dwarf habit. Height 1m. Good flower arranger's plant. | ||
| It is only three feet tall with abundant narrow, slightly arching leaves of reddish brown with occasional orange highlights. | ||
